Assembly Order

An assembly order is a document used in manufacturing and production processes to instruct workers on how to assemble a product.

It typically includes detailed information about the components or parts required, their quantities, and the specific steps or instructions for assembly.

Assembly orders are essential for ensuring that products are assembled correctly, efficiently, and in accordance with quality standards.

They may also include information such as product specifications, diagrams, and any special tools or equipment needed for assembly.

Additionally, assembly orders help coordinate workflow, track progress, and maintain consistency in the manufacturing process.

2 Types of Assembly Order Processes for ESE:

  1. Create assembly order (Default for most of BizBloqs clients)

    - Manually creates an assembly order in Exact ERP then downloads it thru database going to OMS.

    - This is also possible in the scanner via "create order" in the scanner.

  1. Generate assembly order

    - Automatic based on sales order and item properties

Item Property MTO/MTS (Make to Order/ Make to Stock)

Example explanation below for MTO:

Sales order                    Sales order

Item A 10pc                    Item A 5pc

Itemproperty MTO        Itemproperty MTO

When they run the process (2) Generate assembly order - It will create an order for each sales order

Assembly order                  Assembly order

10pc                                        5pc

linked to sales order              linked to sales order

Example explanation below MTS:

Sales order                          Sales order

Item A 10pc                        Item A 5pc

Itemproperty MTS             Itemproperty MTS

An item can have a preferred location if it has a min/max stock value.
When you use the process (2) Generate assembly order - this makes use of min/max values

e.g MIN STOCK - 10 MAX STOCK 50.

The process (2) uses a formula calculation for MTS.

(stock + open assembly orders) - (open sales orders) = stock position
if it is < (min stock) then it will be produced to (max stock)

Example:

Let's say there is a 20stock in the warehouse. Let's say there are no open assembly orders.

(20 - 10 - 5) = 5

SINCE 5 is lower than the min stock.

The generate assembly order will automatically make an assembly order that needs to meet the MAX STOCK.

Using our example the assembly order that will be created is 45. 45+5 = 50 MAX STOCK
