PDT Incorrect Port number (PC)

  • PDT or Portable data collection terminal. 
  • A small mobile computer used by retailers to quickly collect, check, or transmit data to the system by scanning the barcodes on the products.
Notes
PROCESS
  • Check OMS 
  • Go to System Integration
  • Check the port number as it will show the correct one. 
  • Error: If the client is trying to log in to the PDT thru PC and any the username is not acceptable or incorrect. 
  • Providing the Port number should be the corrective action.
  • Ask the client to go to C:\Bizbloqs\Client and open the Notepad. Check the Port number. “If wrong”
  • Provide the correct Port number location in the image. 
  • Advised the client to change the Port number that you have provided and save the notepad once done. 01a. Go to OMS and login on the client.

IMPORTANT NOTE

If you have a ticket about a scanner that is unable to login and the client send the configuration you can troubleshoot it together with the client. 

As listed below. Port 19 (External Port) is the latest one. If you can check with the client that they are using an incorrect Hostname you can use and try the 2 below or try which the client is not using.
