Scanner Role Management
  • This is about how to make a specific process that meets the client’s requirements based on their Job descriptions and Sequence in Warehouse Management System. As what the responsibilities and Duties outline the core position of the user for the defined role. The roles will be provided by the client as they are knowledgeable about each process. 
  • Proper Note: When creating a role make sure the process that you will create is already existing for the client. Meaning DONT ADD A NEW process for our client that they dont currently have. Just to clarify making or changing roles on request is ok as long as it's for process that are already present for at least on of their employees (our admin roles dont count). 
  • However, if its a process that would be new for the customer then its best to check first (Kindly send it to Teams Group chat for confirmation).
  • Note: Our Client keiretsu-europe.nl has a custom process that was not in the role for the new account. They call it Stagiaire or “Intern” as this process involves approval for the manager. If they request to add this to an intern account you can just add this one.
  • If you are going to create an app role for other languages like e.g (Dutch, French etc.,) just change the link in your OMS.

  • Ask the Client what the role’s name and what Role process, or Rights will be given.  
  • Go to OMS 
  • Check App Roles
  • Click the Plus (+) sign 
  • Enter the Name of the Role that the client requested (If haven’t provided please ask the client)
  • On the left side check process as these are the available process for the PDT Scanner
  • Drag it down from the “Role Process and Role User” In which the requestor wants to add the rights
  • Make Sure you highlight the newly created role 
  • Click the Save button
  • Add the created role for the requested account. If the account is not mentioned ask the client.
