XLS Item Import

  • A List of an Item that needs to be added to the Database of OMS. In this case, the file is XLS format consisting of Article Item, Description, warehouse, owner, etc., list. It depends on what the client has sent. 
  • As we only use our format to upload/Import the files. As suggested we need to copy the file of the client with our correct XLS format. The correct Format can be viewed at the link below:
  • Workdrive/General/Import/Item Import Template[EN].xlsx
  • If a Property is not required, just omit it from the template prior to sending to the client. We will not process or we will skip empty values in a column if  'leeg'  is added in the column description. Example: label(leeg) = label(leave empty)).
  • For label Description in the context of using (leeg), we will be skipping rows that are NULL or BLANK. However, we will process filled values; but then as a system property instead of description.
  • If (leeg) is not used in the column label, we will then override existing OMS data with BLANK/NULL in case a row does not have value.
  • If company is "Kerstend-Traiding" they should upload/create the items from Globe and the item should be downloaded by Bizbloqs thus we can make modifications i.e. on the barcode using the import file. But the actual creation of the item should be done in Globe
  • For HUUS.NL (Bammboo) this client does not use EOL . They need to import this in their OMS using File Import > XLS Item. Make sure to send them the correct template to use for Item Import then make instructions on email on where to import the XLS.

PROCESS

  • Check the preferred location and pick location if its correct
  • Check the XLS file that the client provided and if not the correct format copy and paste it into our correct format. Delete all the Column that has blank descriptions which are not needed. 
  • Check OMS
  • File Import 
  • Choose which definite action should we upload/import the XLS file. 
  • Upload the file and click the process
  • Check the message log if successful. Search the filter in Server Task
  • If the upload was successful inform the client.

Note: Each client has a different file item name and you as application support need to determine what was inside the file to know where to correctly upload it.
