There are two primary types of EAN barcodes: EAN-13 and EAN-8.
The EAN-13 barcode is a 13-digit code that uniquely identifies a product. The EAN-8 barcode is an 8-digit code, used when there is limited space on the product.
EAN barcodes can either be active/inactive in an item (article). You may need to remove a barcode by replacing it with a new unique value number. Each EAN barcode should be unique.
Step 01 How To Activate
Open EOL of the client
Search for the item (Article)
Go to general and check Item barcode
Open OMS
Go to Item Manager
Search for the item (Article) > (Check details) Edit
Check Item barcode. See below:
Edit > "Input a EAN-13 barcode (must be unique)
Save settings
(Note: The request of the client to delete/remove the barcode is usually because the original barcode in EOL has been used in a different item.)
Step 02 Closure Notes
