Activate EAN Barcodes

There are two primary types of EAN barcodes: EAN-13 and EAN-8. 

The EAN-13 barcode is a 13-digit code that uniquely identifies a product. The EAN-8 barcode is an 8-digit code, used when there is limited space on the product.

EAN barcodes can either be active/inactive in an item (article). You may need to remove a barcode by replacing it with a new unique value number. Each EAN barcode should be unique. 

Step 01 How To Activate

  • Open EOL of the client
  • Search for the item (Article)
  • Go to general and check Item barcode
  • Open OMS
  • Go to Item Manager
  • Search for the item (Article) > (Check details) Edit
  • Check Item barcode. See below:

  • Edit > "Input a EAN-13 barcode (must be unique)
  • Save settings
(Note: The request of the client to delete/remove the barcode is usually because the original barcode in EOL has been used in a different item.)
